Recently, the annual meeting of the IEC System for Certification to Standards Relating to Equipment for Use in Explosive Atmospheres (IECEx) was grandly held in Beijing. The meeting fully affirmed China’s outstanding contributions to the development of the IECEx system and highly recognized the work carried out by the State Administration for Market Regulation in promoting international trade facilitation for the explosion-proof electrical industry and empowering high-quality industrial development.
As a participant in the formulation of relevant national standards, a practitioner of industry implementation, and a benchmark enterprise in automation instruments, Maxonic was invited to attend this annual meeting. During the meeting, Maxonic conducted in-depth exchanges with domestic and international industry experts and technical scholars, sharing the company’s technology layout, product R&D, and practical achievements in the explosion-proof field, which was recognized by all parties present.
Since explosion-proof electrical products were included in China’s mandatory CCC certification catalogue in 2019, China has continued to build a conformity assessment mechanism aligned with IECEx international certification, opening up domestic and international market access rules, and expanding market openness through mutual recognition of certification results. Up to now, CCC certification has accepted nearly 3,000 IECEx certification results issued by overseas institutions, accounting for more than 90% of the total CCC certificates obtained by overseas enterprises.
At the same time, the capacity of China’s domestic certification system continues to upgrade, accelerating the construction of a new pattern of “one certificate, globally recognized,” helping domestic explosion-proof products enter the international stage. In 2026, Petronas of Malaysia officially accepted China’s CCC certification results for explosion-proof electrical products. With the successive implementation of bilateral mutual recognition agreements between China and Germany, China and Kazakhstan, and others, certificates issued by domestic certification bodies will be recognized by more and more countries and regions.
